100% Live Delivery Guarantee on Live Fish
We offer a 100% live delivery guarantee. This guarantee is as follows:
- Live fish MUST be shipped through an express or overnight service, or via Air Cargo. We will not guarantee fish that were requested to be shipped via normal cargo.
- If you do have a D.O.A we will replace your fish, however YOU are responsible to pay the shipping cost for the replacement fish. You will receive a credit for a new fish and we will replace your order with fish of the identical strain and size that you initially requested.
- Proof of D.O.A.s must be confirmed within 2 hours. You must email us digital pictures of the expired fish, placed on top of the bag it arrived in with the bag’s label in clear view, with a toothpick, fork or other sharp object inserted through the center of the fish to prove it is dead. Please email us immediately at sales@fayettefish.com to place your claim.
- DOA means Dead On Arrival, not Dead Later On. Once you have received the fish and placed them in your tank, you release us from all liability on the condition of your fish. (See Healthy Fish Policy, below)
- All orders are final. Please DO NOT ship live fish back to us, as this will place undue stress on the fish. If we send you the wrong fish, we will send the correct one, but please keep the incorrect fish or take it to your local fish store. (Petco usually accepts donated fish as well.)
- NO REFUNDS. We will ONLY replace your order with items identical to what you originally ordered, or an acceptable live fish replacement that you agree to.
Keep in mind, we have been dealing in tropical fish now for over 30 years, and have over a 99% live arrival success rate. We know losses happen, but we also know when they most likely don't happen!
Healthy Fish Policy
- We guarantee that your fish will arrive alive. However, when you receive your fish you are solely responsible for acclimating your new fish to your aquarium. We prefer to use the drip-acclimation. Despite what many other fish experts have stated, we have had the least amount of losses of incoming fish by using this method.
- We take great care in ensuring that your fish are bred and raised according to our high standards and we insist that ALL of our customers be well informed before purchase, and fully prepared to properly care for their fish.
- We are not liable if your fish become ill or die as a result of your inability to properly adapt or care for your fish.
- We will not refund your money if you have any future health problems with your fish or if they die after you acclimate them to your new environment. We can not control your water parameters to ensure the best life for the fish, so it is up to you to properly care for them.
- After you receive your fish, you acknowledge that you take full responsibility for their care and release Fayette Fish LLC of any liability.
- We recommend you quarantine your new fish separate from any current aquarium set-ups for at least 14 days. This will allow your new arrivals to fully build up their immune systems after shipping to help prevent any illnesses. Fish go through incredible stress during shipping and need the best possible care to recover before they can safely be added to your current set-ups.
Dry Goods Policy
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL! We will not offer refunds or replacements for any reason other than items that are damaged during shipping. Please do your research and ensure that this is the item you want or need prior to your purchase.
- If items are damaged during shipping, please use the Contact Us page to initiate your claim and we will reach out to you requesting your proof.
- Please have photos of the shipping box and the damaged item ready to submit.
- We reserve the right to use all resources in our power to collect information or items that were taken from this business in the event of fraudulent activity.
- Used items are offered "as-is" ONLY and we will not be responsible for any damage to these items, to include shipping damage.
- By purchasing items on this website, you release Fayette Fish LLC of all liability from any injury or death that may result from said purchase.
